–It’s All About People! is sometimes about finding the right person.
My motivational presentations are based on the premise that both business and
personal success is based on the engagement of People.
I challenge audiences to think of one thing in their success pursuit that did
not involve People on some level. If they can think of something, I suggest
that they also find a legitimate word that rhymes with month, silver, orange, or
purple. The answer is obvious, there are no legitimate words that rhyme with
month, silver orange, or purple. Although, I have had folks rack their
brains for an extended time trying to find such a word.
I know no one reading this newsletter will attempt to find a word that does
not exist. I also hope that everyone reading this newsletter will come to
the quick conclusion that there is nothing that you have ever done in the
pursuit of success that did not involve People on some level.
Now that we can all agree that People shape everything in business and our
personal lives, I can get on to the point of this newsletter…..
We need four things to be successful that can only come from People.
They are:
- Resources
- Coaches
- Mentors
- Partners
It is unusual that you can find all of these in one person. Sometimes you get
lucky and find one person capable of providing most of these things. I found
such a person that I want to highlight in this newsletter.
Her name is Wendi McNeill of Charli Jane Speaker
Services. She has helped and assisted me in numerous ways. She is
truly a Partner that provides numerous resources. She is a both Coach
and
Mentor
in the ways she offers suggestions and sources for engagements and improvement
to the success of my speaking career.
Wendi made suggestions to me about sources for speaking opportunities.
She was instrumental in getting me booked on a radio station. I am
speaking at an engagement in Dallas that was arranged by Wendi and is a great
opportunity for me to gain exposure.
I could go on and on about the value Wendi has added to my speaking career
but this newsletter would be 12-15 pages long. I only wanted to highlight
the efforts of Wendi to make several points that can be gleaned from the efforts
of Wendi:
- Be passionate about what you do and in pursuit of prospective clients
- Don’t be turned away by the first answer that may be no!
- Keep on pushing to achieve your goal
- Be sensitive to the needs of your Clients and offer them services to benefit
them
- Keep expanding your service offerings to fit the needs of your Clients
- Keep looking for new ways to provide services to your Clients.
Wendi knows her passion and where she wants to go in her business. I have
been tremendously impressed with her drive and determination to succeed. I
have truly found someone that provides me lots of Resources and is a
Partner as well. You get lucky sometimes and find lots of what you
need in one person as I have in Wendi.

Remember you need the help of People to succeed. You need Resources,
Coaches, Mentors, & Partners. Keep searching and you may get lucky as
